Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the Daytona 500! Since 1959, Daytona International Speedway has hosted the Daytona 500, and all die hard race fans flock to this race and the two week festival of speed, better known as Speedweeks. Whether your a racing fan or not the construction of the track alone is something worth checking out! Placed on 480 acres, this 3.65 mile tri-oval track can convert into different racing experiences for race cars, sports cars, stock cars, and motorcycles. Daytona International Speedway also hosts the Pepsi 400 on Fourth July weekend. This nighttime race not only is 400 laps of mayhem but ends the night with a spectacular firework display honoring America! Other races and motor car organizations call the Speedway home such as the Rolex 24 (a 24 hour race), Stock car racing, and the Nationwide Series (junior stock car racing).
The Speedway also offers the Daytona 500 Experience and the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
